I'm not giving up yet
Here are some books that I started this year but I didn't finish yet and are not currently on my pile of things to keep reading right now. (I'm being honest here, because why would I take the time to write lies on the Internet?)
Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke
I really like this book. I just keep getting distracted. It is Jane Austen meets Harry Potter for grownups meets several other things I love to read about. The audiobook is also cool, although footnotes in audiobooks are sort of weird.
The Godwulf Manuscript by Robert B. Parker
A lovely gentleman I was talking to at the reference desk told me that I had to read a few of the Spencer mysteries. It's a nice story, I just haven't made time to finish it. I do want to try it again later, because Spencer seems like quite a guy.
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
I was reading it for book group on my way back from Milwaukee and I had the stomach flu and missed the meeting. When I tried to finish it later, it reminded me of how sick I had felt. Too strong of an association for now -- although the story wasn't particularly nauseating. I HAVE to finish it someday since the whole reason I wanted to read it was to find out what the big secret was and I still don't know.

L--
I had no idea you had this blog until I saw it listed in your holiday 'zine. I love it! I keep telling myself to write down the titles, at the very least, of all the books I finish because I seriously cannot remember them once I start something new. I love the idea of blogging about everything you read (with a little WoW and knitting thrown in)!
I look forward to your next post!
Love,
Kate

big sis-- do you really read this much? I'm thoroughly impressed :) I read all the time too... it's just "There's a Wocket in my Pocket" over and over and over and over again....
